On June 1, the eighteenth edition of the Specialized Agricultural Exhibition BATA AGRO was officially opened – the largest forum in the agricultural sector in Bulgaria. The event takes place until June 5 at Stara Zagora Airport and brings together 214 companies across more than 36,000 sq.m of exhibition area.
The official opening was attended by the Minister of Agriculture Plamen Abrovski, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Jacek Czerniak, the Mayor of Stara Zagora Zhivko Todorov, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, state and local authorities.
Following the ceremony, all exhibitors and guests of BATA AGRO were welcomed with a festive parade by the children of ‘Junior Band’ – the children’s brass orchestra of Emilijan Stanev Secondary School from Veliko Tarnovo.
During the exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in agricultural machinery and modern farming solutions – including precision farming technologies, drones, irrigation systems, seeds, fertilizers and crop protection products. Traditionally, live demonstrations are also held, allowing visitors to see machinery in real working conditions in the field.
This year, Argentina is the guest country of honor, while Poland is represented with a collective stand, highlighting the international character of the exhibition and the opportunities for exchange of experience and partnerships.
BATA AGRO 2026 continues to strengthen its role not only as a business platform, but also as a space for dialogue, cooperation and sector development. This year, the exhibition supports The Human Safety Net – an initiative by Generali Insurance, implemented in partnership with the ‘For Our Children’ Foundation, providing early support for vulnerable children and their families.
Until June 5, visitors can also meet Bulgarian producers at the farmers’ market, organized in partnership with Hrankoop Cooperative, as well as benefit from direct contact with companies from across the agricultural sector.
The exhibition is open to visitors every day from 09:00 to 18:00, and on June 5 – until 14:00.
